Underwrite a New York City MYO Concert

As underwriter of a concert you will cover venue rental fees and the payment of the conductors involved in the performance. Event will be listed as “Sponsored by Your Name” or “Sponsored, In Part, by Your Name”  Partial sponsorship is possible. Preferred seating at concert for your family.

New York Philharmonic Residency

Tickets for Tilles Concert and Q&A session for 100 members, sectionals for all members of the Nassau & Suffolk Principal Orchestras  and Nassau Chamber Orchestra.  Concerto appearance by one or more Philharmonic members with MYO, and guest conductor, Miriam Burns working with orchestras in rehearsal.  – Residency will carry your name. Preferred concert seating, and chance to meet with Philharmonic artists.

Sponsor the Commission of an Original Piece for one of the MYO             Ensembles

Sponsor a commission of a new piece of music for a MYO ensemble.  Depending on the composer and the length of the piece the fee will vary greatly.  Commission will be listed as “Sponsored by Your Name” or “Sponsored, In Part, by Your Name”  Partial sponsorship is             possible. Preferred seating at concert for your family. Meeting with the composer.

MYO Concerto Competition

Open to Long Island musicians under the age of 18.  Cash scholarship awards are given to top three winners and an opportunity to perform with one of the orchestras at the final NYC concert for the first place winner. Event will carry your name. Preferred seating at concerts for your family.

MYO Composition Contest

We started this contest in 2009 to encourage young composers to write and have their music performed.  Winners receive a cash award and possible performance with one of the MYO ensembles at the final concert in New York City.  Your donation will cover the cost of the competition, stipend for preliminary and finals judges, rental for finals concert venue,             cash awards to top winners. Event will carry your name. Preferred seating at concerts for your family. Meeting with composers.

$1000 to $50,000           

MYO College Scholarship

Your donation will fund a one time ($1000)            or perpetual college scholarship, awarded to one or more deserving MYO senior members who pursue music in college. The scholarship will bear your name or be named as you desire.           

$500 +                       

Sponsor a Full MYO Scholarship (multiple possible)

The average cost for a MYO member to join is $500 a year.  Your donation will sponsor one or more children who might otherwise not be able to join MYO.

2 free tickets to all MYO concerts, name listed in program. Complimentary MYO concert CD’s for the year.

Unspecified MYO Donation

Help MYO meet financial obligations by unspecified support.  Your donation may be tagged for Music Library, Office, Insurance, Equipment or any other area you wish it to fund. 2 free tickets to all MYO concerts, name listed in program. Complimentary MYO concert CD’s for the year.
