My MYO Story

I have been a member of MYO for the past five years. Currently, I am a senior in High School. With MYO I am playing cello in Chamber Orchestra. One of the reasons that my love of music has grown so much in the past five years is my membership in MYO. My experience with MYO is one of the major factors in my decision to continue music studies in college and to major in Music Education. I have auditioned at a number of schools and I recently heard that I have been accepted to my first choice college, Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.
I am so happy that I have been accepted at Crane and so happy with my years at MYO. I have enclosed a small donation to you. It's not that much but it represents one week's salary from my part-time job. Thank you, again.

CONCERTO FINALS CONCERT
The annual MYO Concerto Contest Finals Concert will be held on Sunday, February 5 at 3 PM at Herricks High School in New Hyde Park, NY. Six finalists will perform while competing for monetary awards and a chance to perform as soloist at Carnegie Hall in May. The finalists are: Brianna Ambrosino (clarinet), Suehyun Jade Park (oboe), Leah Stevens (flute), Michael Stevens (piano), Madeleine Vaillancort (violin) and Kevin Yu (violin). The contest will be judged by three college music professors. This concert is free and open to the public.
