The Nassau Principal Orchestra,
led by Maestro Scott Stickley, is made up of some of the finest high school musicians in the metropolitan area. Many of the members have placed in the all-national, all-eastern, all-state, and all-county orchestras and have graduated to major conservatories and colleges of music. The Principal Orchestra has performed at the General Session on the Music Educators National Conference with Maestro Kurt Mazur as keynote speaker (1999), at the official New York State celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King in Albany, NY (2001), annually to sellout crowds at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010), and numerous major concert venues throughout the New York area.
