Nassau & Suffolk Concert Orchestras


The Nassau & Suffolk Concert Orchestras are open to string, wind, brass and percussion students who have successfully performed a NYSSMA Level 5 or 6 solo. The recent Nassau orchestra averages between 90 and 100 players, depending on the year, and ranges in age from Middle School through High School seniors. The new Suffolk Concert Orchestra is fashioned after this model. 

The ensembles rehearse and performs primarily standard (and original) symphonic repertoire.
