I am the parent of an MYO Alumni. My son, Andrew graduated from MYO in 2004. He is currently working towards his Masters of Music Degree in Oboe Performance at Yale University. MYO had a profound influence on Andrew. He was a member of the Concert and Principal orchestras for five years and the MYO program nurtured his love of music.

I have been an enthusiastic supporter of MYO for the past ten years serving on the Board of Directors as President, Secretary and currently as Vice President. I continue to volunteer even though my son has graduated because I believe that MYO offers a wonderful program for our community’s musically talented youth. Its members have an opportunity to play challenging music in very prestigious concert halls throughout Long Island and Manhattan and even abroad in Europe, Asia and Australia through MYO Summer Tours. In its 16 years, MYO has touched so many children and influenced their lives in so many ways.

I will continue to work with MYO to help guarantee that this extraordinary experience will be available for today’s and tomorrow’s young musicians.
