Suffolk Rehearsal Supervisor
I started out as a MYO parent volunteer 11 years ago when my daughter Allyson first began singing with the Suffolk Treble Choir, led by Craig B. Knapp. Since then, we have had the opportunity to see Allyson sing in some of the most famous performance venues in the world including Lincoln Center, Citi Field, and five times at Carnegie Hall. Mr. Knapp became such an inspiration to Allyson that she sang with MYO not only for her love of music, but for her admiration for him as a teacher as well. Allyson and I looked forward to listening to our “MYO Playlist” each week on the way to rehearsals, including songs from every Broadway show she has ever seen. Thursdays became our night which meant so much to me. Inspired by Mr. Knapp to become a music teacher, she graduated from LIU Post in 2021 earning a degree in Music Education. Allyson is now teaching General Music as a full-time teacher at Longwood Middle School. I look forward to seeing new and familiar faces as your rehearsal supervisor on Thursday nights as well as at MYO concerts and special events. Since MYO has done so much for Allyson and our family, helping our MYO members and families is a way I can give back!
