Larry JannottaLarry Jannotta | MYO Coach

Larry Jannotta is a professional percussionist and music educator. He holds a Masters of Music Education from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. Larry is currently in his 24th year of teaching music on Long Island. He has been teaching music at the Half Hollow Hills Central School District for the past 17 years. Besides teaching in the public school system, Mr. Jannotta also has had an extensive list of private percussion students. Some have performed in MYO and have gone on to study at prestigious universities such as New England Conservatory, Mannes School of Music, and Oberlin College. His past mentors have included Al Miller and Ron Gould. When not teaching, Larry can be found performing timpani, mallets, and other percussion instruments with the South Fork Chamber Orchestra and The Choral Society of the Hamptons. He also plays drums and percussion for Bus Duty, a band made up of friends and colleagues from the Half Hollow Hills Central School District, at various venues around Long Island. Larry resides in Manorville with his wife Joanna and two sons Christopher and Ryan, both who are aspiring percussionists.
