My MYO tour to China in the summer of 2014 was an experience I will remember for my entire life. For two weeks, I saw spectacular sights and visited amazing places like the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Dragon Lady’s Summer Palace, and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. I was able to play in concert, and hear Chinese orchestras in concert as well. I saw a fascinating face changing ceremony, boated across a lantern-lit lake and rode a bike on top of the Xi’an City Wall. These experiences have not only made me a better musician, but have shaped how I see the world.
