Michael H. Lee is a native New Yorker and grew up on Long Island. He has been an active performer in music festivals across the country, such as the Eastern Music Festival (NC), Las Vegas Music Festival (NV), and the Pierre Monteux School for Conductors and Orchestra Musicians (ME); he was a participant in Burton Kaplan’s Magic Music Mountain Practice Retreat (NY), and performed in a special quartet seminar that was held at NYC’s famed School for Strings. Mr. Lee is currently Principal Violist for the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony in Manhattan. International performances include the Orford Centre d’Arts in Quebec, Summer Music on the Shannon in Ireland, American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria and Domaine Forget in Quebec. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Political Science from Stony Brook University, a Masters of Science in Education from Queens College and a Masters in Viola Performance from Brooklyn College.
