Aaron Langenauer_Trumpet MYO AlumAaron Langenauer, Class of 2009, played in the MYO Principal Nassau Orchestra during the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 seasons. He then studied Music Education and Trumpet Performance with a minor in Jazz Studies at the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. Aaron additionally studied instrumental conducting and served as the Music Director for the Clarkson University Orchestra, and furthered his studies while student teaching with his former MYO conductor, Scott Stickley. Since then, Aaron has held teaching positions across upstate New York, Long Island, and New York City. He currently teaches middle school band in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District, and is pursuing a M.S. in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology online through SUNY Albany. Aaron also actively freelances as a church and pit orchestra musician and frequently returns to MYO to help with brass sectionals, rehearsals, and performances.
